Engagement: Noughts and Crosses Style

🎯 Goal of the Game

Get three in a row before the computer does — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

🟦 Basic Rules

1. You play as X
  • You always go first.

  • Tap or click any empty square to place your X.

2. The computer plays as O

  • After your move, the computer will place an O.

  • It may try to win, block you, or choose a strategic square.

3. Winning the game

You win if you get three Xs in a row in any direction:

  • Across

  • Down

  • Diagonal

The winning line will highlight when the game ends.

4. If the board fills up

If all nine squares are filled and neither side has three in a row, the game ends in a draw.

5. Restarting

Tap the Restart button at any time to begin a new game.

🟣 Tips for Playing

  • Try to take the centre square when you can — it gives you the most winning paths.

  • Watch for the computer setting up two‑way traps.

  • Block the computer when it has two in a row.

  • Think one move ahead.

What to Do After You Finish the Game

Once your round of noughts and crosses is complete, take a moment to look at the board:

1. Count how many Xs you see.
2. Count how many Os you see.

Now head over to Instagram and use your results:

For every X → like one post
For every O → comment on one post

Example

If your board shows 4 Xs and 3 Os, you’ll:
- Like 4 posts, and
- Comment on 3 posts

It’s a simple way to turn the game into a fun little challenge.

Share Your Results
